Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra member Susanna Stein

Susanna Stein, violin, performed in numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the San Francisco Bay Area after attending the University of Southern California Conservatory and graduating from the University of California at Santa Cruz. After a time, she moved to the East Coast to attend Harvard University for a Masters degree in Public Policy. Since graduating, she has lived in New York, where she has continued playing with San Francisco’s Women’s Philharmonic and several NYC amateur orchestras, including the Lawyers’ Orchestra and the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony. She likes to read string quartets when she has the chance. When in California, she performed in mariachi and salsa bands, and since living in New York has played with tango groups at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Ravinia Festival, and numerous other venues.
