Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra member Stephen Poppel

Stephen Poppel, a clarinetist since the age of ten, has performed in orchestras and chamber groups in Philadelphia, New York, Boston, and Vermont. For the past twenty-five years, he has been a member of the Chamber Music Conference and Composers Forum of the East, and has studied and performed the chamber repertory for clarinet in combination with winds, strings, voice, and piano. He has studied with Leon Lester, Larry Guy, Ben Armato, and Steven Hartman. Along with his interest in music, he has pursued careers in physics, history, banking, and currently in finance.
