Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra member Jennifer Miller

Jennifer Miller, horn, is a native of Kansas, but completed her Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. While at USC, she studied with James Decker and played principal horn with the Young Musician’s Foundation under the direction of Lalo Schifrin and with the American Youth Symphony under the direction of Mehli Mehta. She has enjoyed a wide variety of experiences spanning her music career including chamber music, opera, orchestral, and performances and recordings of jazz, film and alternative music. She received her Master’s degree in Music Therapy at the University of Kansas and is currently working as a music therapist at a Manhattan nursing home. She continues to perform in several ensembles throughout the New York area.
