Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra member Alfiya Koval

Alfiya Koval, violin, was born in Uszno Sachalinsk, Russia, and moved to the Ukraine in 1961. She has studied at the Kiev College of Music, where her teacher was A. Sachuk, and at the Kharkov College of Art, where her teacher was U. Uriev. She played in a chamber orchestra conducted by J. Pahaluk in the Ukraine, and in the Ukrainian folk music orchestra “Ross” in Kiev. She moved to the USA in 2000 and plays with the Ukrainian folk music group “Galichany.”
