Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra member Becky Hughes

Becky Hughes, violin, began studying music at the age of four. She played in numerous community and regional orchestras throughout her youth, including the Garden State Pops Youth Orchestra and the Rowan Community Orchestra. Along with joining Musica Bella in December of 2005, she now plays violin and sings in two indie rock bands in New York. She enjoys improvisation and Middle Eastern styles as well.
      Becky is employed full-time as a biochemical engineer for Cordis, a Johnson & Johnson company in New Jersey. She is also the founder and director of a non-profit arts and music center called VibeSpace, based in Jersey City.
