Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra guest Jessie Hinkle

Mezzo-soprano Jessie Hinkle holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas and a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Ms. Hinkle’s career has included performances on the operatic, concert, and Broadway stages. She has performed such roles as Carmen, Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito, Lucretia in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia, and Florence in Albert Herring.
      Ms. Hinkle has been featured as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra at Avery Fisher Hall, and in 2003 she was an ensemble cast member of Baz Luhrmann’s Broadway production of Puccini’s La Bohème. She has participated as a young artist in some of the United States’ most prestigious Young Artist Programs, including the Music Academy of the West, Glimmerglass Opera, Central City Opera, and Des Moines Metro Opera.
      In 2008, Ms. Hinkle will make her debut with Pensacola Opera as The Third Lady in The Magic Flute. And she was a soloist with Musica Bella on September 8 and 9, 2007.
