Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra member James Eng

James Eng, violin/viola, was born in New York City but raised in Norman, Oklahoma. He has studied violin under Dr. Colbert Hackler, Michael Ma, Dr. Gary Kosloski, Chris Wu, Janet Chisolm, and Felicia Moye. His viola professors include Wayne Crouse and Matthew Dane. In addition to Musica Bella, James currently performs with the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra, Brooklyn Brandenburgers, and Broadway Bach, and is an active chamber music performer when he has time.
      With an undergraduate degree in music and an MBA degree in arts management, James is pursuing a career in orchestral administration. He currently works for the New York Philharmonic.
