Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra member Craig Devereaux

Craig Devereaux, flute/piccolo, is a graduate of Ithaca College, and has played with the Hudson Repertoire Orchestra, the Goldman Memorial Band, Big Apple Corps Concert Band, and numerous musicals both Off-Broadway and regionally. He has also performed at Carnegie Hall with the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus and at the Lincoln Center Out-Of-Doors Festival, and is a member of two flute quartets. Also an orchestrator and arranger, he has arranged several works for concert band and re-orchestrated several musicals for regional theatres. For the past fourteen years, Craig has worked at the Metropolitan Opera as an actor/supernumerary, appearing in over two thousand performances of 85 different operas.
    Craig was a soloist in Bach’s Fourth Brandenburg Concerto on Musica Bella’s All-Bach Concerts on December 4 and 5, 2004.
    And the multi-talented Mr. Devereaux was the director of our June 17 and 18, 2006 production of Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera Mozart and Salieri.
