Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra guest Marie Ann Chenevey

Marie Ann Chenevey, soprano, is well versed in the operatic repertoire, having sung roles ranging from Cherubino in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro to the Secretary in Menotti’s The Consul, and has performed with several opera companies including the Des Moines Metro Opera and the Amato Opera, among many others. In chamber music, Ms. Chenevey has performed for many years with Goliard Concerts, a chamber music organization based in Astoria, Queens. With Goliard, she has sung three Southeastern tours, premiering several new works commissioned for Goliard Concerts; debuted at Lincoln Center with full chorus and orchestra singing as mezzo-soprano soloist in Mozart’s Wegenhaus Messe, and has been presented as a chamber music principal artist in concert with string quartet and piano performing the Brahms Zwei Gesange and Chausson’s Chanson Perpetuelle at Merkin Concert Hall. On radio, she has been heard on radio stations WQXR and WNYC.
      Ms. Chenevey was a guest soloist on our December 17 and 18, 2005 All-Bach concerts.
