Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra member Scott Brodie

Scott Brodie, oboe/oboe d’amore, was born in New York City and grew up suburban Connecticut. He studied oboe at Wesleyan University with Richard Killmer and Sarah Lambert Bloom, and subsequently in New York with Henry Schuman and Jacqueline Leclair. He is active as an amateur musician in chamber and orchestral groups in New York. Scott is a retina specialist on the faculty of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and serves as the Artistic Director of the annual Chamber Music Concert of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
