Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra guest Joan Barton De Caro
|Joan Barton De Caro, mezzo-soprano, has toured the Far East, where she was a soloist with the National Philharmonic of the Philippines, and also inaugurated the recital hall in Hong Kong’s Performing Arts Center. She has appeared as soloist with the Little Orchestra Society in Avery Fisher Hall, Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia, and the Westchester Chamber Music Festival, among many other ensembles.
Ms. Barton De Caro has performed in recital with clarinetist Stanley Drucker and violist Emanuel Vardi. She can be heard on the soundtrack of the Samuel Goldwyn film Love Is All There Is with Paul Sorvino, and most recently was featured soloist for the telecast of the Ellis Island Awards Ceremony at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Ms. Barton De Caro was a guest soloist on Musica Bella’s December 17 and 18, 2005 All-Bach concerts.
