Biography of Musica Bella Orchestra member Marlan Barry

Marlan Barry, violoncello, is a freelance classical recording engineer and record producer who lives in Park Slope. In addition to his work in NYC, he records Houston Grand Opera’s season for NPR’s World of Opera. He studied the cello with Alan Harris and Mark Schroeder at the Cleveland Institute of Music and at the Aspen Music Festival while working on his recording degree. He likes his food cooked with butter.
