![]() After moving to New York, she was accepted on full scholarship at the Brooklyn College of Music, where she studied withi Masao Kawasaki. She won the Brooklyn College of Music Competition, which led to a solo performance of the Mendelssohn concerto with the Brooklyn College Conservatory Orchestra in 2001. She received her MM degree there in 2002. Currently she is a student of Joey Corpus, whose musical training descends from one of the most celebrated violinists of all time, Eugene Ysaye. Her performances in New York include, among others, Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Merkin Hall, and Radio City Hall. She has performed with Camerata New York, the Manhattan Virtuosi, the St. Mark’s Chamber Orchestra, The Knights of the Many-Sided Tables, the Newton Symphony Orchestra, and the Connecticut Grand Opera. She has also taken part in jazz and rock collaborations with leading artists in some of New York’s most cutting-edge venues. She is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, including second prize at the Kocian International Violin Competition at the age of 14, and scholarships to the San Francisco Chamber Music Festival and the Spoleto Music Festival.
